Captec Launches Full In-vehicle Computing Packages Including Tablet, Dock and Installation
We have announced the availability of two new off-the-shelf in-vehicle tablet and dock solutions.
Making use of our strategic partnerships, we have specified Professional and Enterprise packages to provide mobile workforces with tablet technology that enhances their productivity and performance in the field.
The Professional solution comes with a choice of our brand new Windows-based VT-681 rugged tablet or an Android-based Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2. They can be paired with Captec and Gamber-Johnson vehicle dock stations respectively, and are both specifically designed to accommodate each tablet. This solution is aimed at businesses with smaller fleets using less back office complexity, but still requiring ruggedised tablet computing.
The Enterprise solution features Windows and Android fully rugged Dell, Getac and Panasonic tablets, with tablet-specific Havis and Gamber-Johnson vehicle dock stations. It has been designed to fulfil demanding applications where tablet performance and back office communication are of vital importance.
These options allow customers to simply decide on their solution, select a tablet, add its dock and combine it with our managed in-vehicle installation services for a simplified, streamlined and deployment-ready solution.
Installation can be performed on-site or at third party-approved centres and includes full integration, custom cabling, safety and electrical testing, and tailored through-life support with bespoke service-level agreements.
With features including, hassle-free docking and charging, drop and shock resistance, hot swappable batteries for extended use, external antennas to ensure network connectivity , and built-in data capture technologies, the solutions are ideal for sectors including construction, emergency services, utilities, fleet management and field services.
