The Challenges:
Integrate communication equipment into deployable, rugged cases
Develop a family of designs to support the required functionality
Compliant with SDIP 27 TEMPEST Level C specification
Designed to meet DEF STAN 0035 shock and vibration defence standard
Required to integrate high-performance computing and customer’s equipment stack
Operating temperature range of -10°C to +30°C

The Solution
Selected a NATO approved, stackable, lightweight, rugged case with an internal equipment frame
Designed a bespoke patch panel for external equipment connectivity
Operating temperature performance was optimised with the inclusion of an Environmental Control Unit to support a temperature range from -32°C to +49°C
Designed to comply to TEMPEST SDIP 27 Level C and DEF STAN 0035 shock and vibration, with full testing at TUV
Completion of documentation pack to support standardisation of build and serviceability in the field
