Professional Journey
What’s the most exciting project or challenge you’ve worked on so far?
My most exciting challenge so far has been transitioning from Production to IT. While I have extensive IT experience, networking and firewalls are new to me, which makes learning so much new information quite challenging. I’m also currently splitting my time between the two departments, so ensuring clear communication and the proper relay of information is relayed appropriately.
Work Inspiration
If you had to describe your job in one sentence to a 5-year-old, how would you do it?
I had to do this recently with my daughter as she is 5. It’s quite easy to explain and I just said, “I fix Computers and help people with their computers when they have problems.”
Personal Interests
What’s something you love doing outside of work that your coworkers might not know about?
One thing that I really enjoy doing outside of work is Go-Karting but unfortunately, I don’t get much time to do it, but I would like to start doing it more regularly soon.
Life Beyond Work
How do you unwind after a busy day at work?
After work I like to unwind by either spending some quality time with my partner and my daughter.
Fun Fact
What is a fun or random fact about you that might surprise your team?
A few people at work know this but I own and run a mobile phone and computer repair business outside of work. This is very challenging as a lot of the time I can work as late as 10/11PM at night. I started this about 4 years ago and have progressed a lot, I’m always looking to expand and push It further.
