Southern Manufacturing and Electronics 2023 Exhibition
Captec & Cove to Exhibit at 2023’s Southern Manufacturing and Electronics Exhibition.
We are pleased to announce that Captec will be exhibiting with our associated group company Cove, at the Southern Manufacturing and Electronics 2023 Exhibition. The event will be held at Farnborough International Exhibition Centre from the 7th to the 9th of February, and you will find us at stand number N150.
Southern Manufacturing and Electronics is the UK’s largest and longest-running annual engineering exhibition. Situated at the birthplace and epicentre of the UK’s massive £20bn+ aerospace and defence industry, Hall 1 is set to become one of the most important showcases for UK manufacturing expertise and the diverse supply chain that supports it. The show hosts a significant variety of exhibiting companies, covering the entire spectrum of engineering enterprises from production hardware to components and fabrication to high-tech electronics.
We will update this page weekly with various products and capabilities we will showcase at the event, so please look out for our posts.
Fabrication & Integration – Sub-Systems
As mentioned, we will be exhibiting at this event with our associated group company, Cove. For those unfamiliar, Cove’s capabilities complement Captec’s and play a key role in our group’s end-to-end proposition. It has a long-established pedigree spanning almost six decades in precision metalwork fabrication and finishing. This is supplemented with electromechanical sub-system integration for a complete build-to-print service to any exacting industry or certification standard for demanding sectors such as defence, aerospace and medical equipment. Cove also engineers cabinets and enclosures for challenging industrial environments, with in-house design teams to assist with mechanical design and electrical schematics. Along with providing production engineering expertise to take your design through from prototype to full production build standard. At the exhibition, a cross-section of samples will be showcased on our stand N150.
Cove is based locally in Farnborough, only 5 mins from the exhibition, so we are inviting factory drop-ins for those interested to explore further and combine the show with a visit. Please contact Sharda Hayes on 01489 866 032 or s.hayes@uk.captec-group.com to book a visit. There will be sandwiches and refreshments available, so please do join us.
Smart Edge & IoT – Electronics Hardware & Embedded Firmware
While at the event, we will illustrate some of our electronic hardware and embedded firmware offerings for IoT and Smart Edge applications.
Captec has considerable experience within the Smart Edge and IoT segment, offering services throughout the product development cycle, including custom electronics and firmware design, testing and certification, especially for low-power and wireless communication. In addition, we have a deep knowledge of specialised electronics for sensor signal processing and real-time low-power embedded systems, backed by field-proven reference projects involving 1000s of installed IoT remote monitoring devices and billions of measurements.
We have also developed a core stack of hardware designs and firmware to enable rapid development of IoT applications using pre-existing modules from our library, meaning development typically requiring months can be reduced to days. Visit us at the show to discuss your application and learn more about how we can expedite the development cycle.
Specialised Computers
A key Captec service featured at the event will be Specialised Computing systems for controlled, certified or challenging industrial environments.
Our extensive specialised computers proposition offers off-the-shelf, customised, or bespoke specialist industrial computers designed and built specifically to meet exacting requirements and operating environments. These include high-performance certified rackmount, embedded and compact industrial computers, and custom-built tablets that deliver superior processing and networking across a wide temperature range, with the ability to withstand higher levels of shock and vibration.
Complex Integrated Systems
Captec will also be at the event to discuss our Complex Integrated Systems.
We possess extensive electro-mechanical design and manufacturing capabilities that enable us to to deliver bespoke systems tailored to meet your exact technical, performance and budgetary requirements. This includes schematics to electronics design, fabrication, assembly, certification, and BOM management, acting as an extension of our customer’s design team and bringing full end-to-end (E2E) capabilities.
We look forward to meeting you at the event to discuss our full range of capabilities across subsystems, fabrication and integration, smart edge and IoT, specialised computing and complex integrated systems.
Remember, we are at stand N150 and welcome you to drop-in to our local fabrication and integration facility, Cove, just 5 mins down the road from the exhibition.
This exhibition is a key event for any OEM or System Integrator looking for established supply chain partners and well worth attending. For more information about the event, visit https://www.industrysouth.co.uk/industry-news/ or click here to register.
